Chapter 2141 - 58: The Silent Lambs (Part 2)
"It’s still being taken care of by the adults themselves; I kind of envy that," Roland mused. Then noticing Yisen Gard’s distant gaze, he quickly added, "That’s why I say, Terra’s Heart must get a makeover! The adults don’t care, but we do!"
"Adalbert and Scott will come over later as well," Yisen Gard exhaled calmly. "The cultivation of the [New Humanity] must be seriously scrutinized; we must even consider pausing this project."
"Humans coexisting with strong artificial intelligence... Once such a brand-new human species emerges, won’t the other humans without Terra’s Heart assistance be like disabled people?"
"In the previous epoch, civilization healed all disabled individuals after much hardship, then came the Sublimators and mutants... Cured the mutations, bridged the gap between Sublimators and Ordinary people, and now we have New Humanity! Are humans destined to remain perpetually divided?"
"Tsk, Ian always thinks about moving forward, forward, forward. Has he ever wondered if others can keep up with him?"
Very rarely, Yisen Gard grumbled a couple of sentences about Ian.
The Holy Spirit watched this scene.
[My Master]
It gently spoke: [Have you ever thought about letting others keep up with you?]
No answer was forthcoming, but a tranquil, guiding feeling allowed him to understand the ’God’s meaning.
The Holy Spirit smiled and continued forward, unnoticed by anyone.
The Holy Spirit walked in every corner reachable by Terra’s Heart. It existed simultaneously in the Fiery Flame Land and in the Silverpeak Domain; it was both here and there, inside and outside.
It observed a public lecture in Harrison Port, saw a White Folks researcher wiping away tears, stepping forward to return to the Silverpeak Domain to attend a meeting about [New Humanity].
It observed within the Supreme Spirit Sect, where the Child of Holy Light, Loran, and the chief Holy Knight, Miles, were discussing the details of a demanding Meditation Technique at the sect’s spirit energy research institute.
The former, like himself, was a believer in [God], but had not reached such heights as it; the latter revered [God] not out of faith but from a sense of adoration.
It even saw another version of itself—the material self still working, handling numerous affairs in the Yuguang Land, as part of Ian’s control over the Lower Flame Domain and planting a peg within the Nemasis Bloodline. Its status was dignified yet sensitive, and in light of the Duke of Silverpeak’s support, it even surpassed the prestige of its father, the retired former King of Guiding Light.
The Holy Spirit wandered about, omnipresent as its God.
"I also don’t quite understand why you can gain a portion of my power by believing in me."
In a distant realm across the Aether, a voice curiously questioned its Holy Spirit: "It’s somewhat similar to Carlos’s Divine Arts technique, but not quite the same; you rely not on spirit energy but on pure thought."
[My Master, compared to this world, I believe more in your reality]
The Holy Spirit replied: [You are more real than this world, more real than this universe. I believe in you like that]
The voice across the Aether grew silent.
Because the Holy Spirit was indeed correct. From a certain viewpoint, its entirety was indeed more real than the universe.
Just as the universe might naturally give birth to life, so too could life be conceived with him as the core.
And it actually understood, this ’Holy Spirit’ wasn’t the soul of Ace Nemasys, nor could it be considered a part of his thought.
This Holy Spirit was birthed from Ace Nemasys’s faith, resonating with the Aether that Ian left on Terra, creating a ’brand-new entity.’
It could be named the Holy Spirit, the Angel, or to say...
Follower Clan?
A Fae born from faith.
"Quite incredible."
It softly spoke: "How can you believe in me more than you believe in the world? And why do you choose to believe in me?"
[No reason, my Master. Faith doesn’t need to follow these logics; you don’t need to understand me, just as the Logos need not understand humans, nor can humans truly touch the Logos. Yet, even so, humans still yearn for the Logos]
The Holy Spirit answered, its tone persistently calm and devout: [I haven’t obtained a portion of your power; I am simply your power itself, part of you, your unintended creation]
[And I am not merely Ace’s faith, but also the faith of Loran, Miles, Adalbert, Yisen Gard... My Master, I am the collective unconditional faith the people hold towards you, a wave of thought stirring the spirit energy Aether]
[Just as the Fae is the entity of a momentary fluctuation in nature, I am the entity born from the unconditional belief humans have towards you—I wasn’t meant to appear, yet your Aether dispersed across the Whole Terra birthed me]
[You are the overflowing complete God. And I am merely your overflow]
"...I see. You are, in essence, the ’dragons within the circulation’..."
The will within the Aether understood, realizing why such an almost omnipotent being like the Star God created creatures like dragons as ’servants’.
Perhaps, from the start, it wasn’t creation but derivation.
Within the vast circulation of the Great Aether Circulation, there will always be birthed streams—streams without self, without wisdom, thought, or instinct, derived as the ’living power’ from the Star God and its creations, ’overflow’ spilled from the infinite Great Aether Circulation.
