Chapter 400: He Specially Prepared This Romance for Her

After getting off the taxi, Evelyn walked straight along the road of Southwood, as Caden Lockwood had mentioned over the phone that if she kept going forward, she would see him.

Evelyn had been to Southwood once before, and back then, it didn’t seem to have so many lights.

But now, there were a lot more lights of various styles around here, especially, with each step she took forward, the lights became even brighter.

Turning back, she looked at the road she had walked down; the rows of lights were like two long rainbows, incredibly beautiful.

Evelyn blinked and continued walking forward.

The lights in front of her eyes grew brighter and more beautiful, as if this place was hosting a lantern festival.

As Evelyn walked inside alone, she wondered why such a beautiful scene would be appreciated only by her.

Even though this was the suburbs and there were fewer people, it shouldn’t be that she’s the only one here!

Evelyn’s heart was in her throat.

Moreover, how had she not heard that Southwood had become so lovely?

And that Caden Lockwood had actually chosen this place for their long-awaited reunion?

Caden still stood there motionless, and as Evelyn’s figure became clearer within his line of sight, a colder aura surrounded him.

Evelyn obviously saw Caden too, her heart leaped to her throat, instinctively wanting to run toward him, but she was worried it might seem undignified.

After all, up till now, she still didn’t know why Caden had asked her to come out!

What if he wasn’t looking to make up, but was going to break up with her for good?

She had assumed that Caden called her out to have a good talk.

But looking at this atmosphere now, it seemed he didn’t plan to talk nicely!

The steps moving toward Caden gradually became hesitant, Evelyn walked slower and slower, even contemplating not continuing forward.

She thought to herself: If Caden came to discuss a breakup, what should she do?
